Hive LLC (owned by VimpelCom) acquired 13.3% of the developer of the solution for analyzing audience emotional response, Candy Flip Robots. The parties did not disclose the amount of the transaction, writes Kommersant.

The VimpelCom structure bought a stake in the developer of the video analysis system Candy Flip Robots

Leonid Delitsyn, an analyst at the Finam group, estimated 100% of the service at 220-270 million rubles; According to him, a 13.3% stake could cost Hive 30 million rubles.

Candy Flip Robots has developed the Sense Machine software, an emotion evaluation program based on facial expressions, eye movements, etc. through the analysis of video sequences. With its help, you can analyze the emotions of a person in contact with marketing materials, a user of online services or a potential buyer in stores.

Experts do not rule out that in the future VimpelCom will complement its own products with this technology.

This is not the first deal for Hive in November: it previously acquired 25% of pricing automation platform developer KeepRise, 12% of corporate education platform operator Kampus, 10% of cloud solutions service for Restilk restaurants and received a majority stake in marketing service Callibri.
