The majority (79%) of Russian companies revised employee salaries during 2023. At the same time, half of employers are ready to increase workers’ salaries again at the beginning of 2024.
This is demonstrated by the results of a study on RB’s Superjob service, carried out among 1,000 human resources specialists from Russian companies.
47% of employers report that they have increased or indexed salaries in the last 6 months. Another third (32%) of respondents reviewed employee salaries between six months and a year ago. Thus, 8 out of 10 companies have increased staff salaries since the beginning of 2023.
At the same time, one in two employees (49%) expect a salary review in 2024. According to Superjob analysts, the percentage of workers awaiting promotion is the highest in the last four years. In 2022, the proportion of such personnel was 3% lower.
Employees under 34 years of age (57%) and with an income of 80,000 per month (57%) are more likely to receive a raise.
Exactly 50% of companies responded that they plan to review employee salaries in the near future. A year ago, the proportion of these employers was almost half (27%).
