Transportation of the Future and the National Technology Initiative (NTI) Foundation have begun to select startups in the field of unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for financing with a joint fund, Interfax writes.
In August 2023, NTI and Transport of the Future signed an agreement to create a fund to finance projects in the field of scientific development, production, certification and creation of models for the use of drones. Its capitalization is 10 billion rubles.
“We need those who have innovative ideas for the development of the industry: from the production of components and programming to the creation of a regulatory framework, the training of the profession and its popularization,” explained the representative of the General Director of Transport of the Future, Yuri Kozarenko.
He added that the selection of projects for funding aims to bring together industry participants and provide them with resources to develop unmanned aircraft systems and components.
Transport of the Future LLC is part of the Efko group of companies. The organization was registered in 2021 in the Belgorod region.
In spring 2023, the company acquired assets in the Togliatti special economic zone for mass production of cargo drones. It is planned to invest more than 6 billion rubles in this project in three years.
