Google Home is finally rolling out a “Vacation Mode” for your smart home. THE function found in the application development phase via website Android Authority.

In its current form, “Vacation Mode” is just one of the routine options for your home. It is available between “At Home” and “Away From Home”.

When “Vacation Mode” is selected, the user is directed to a calendar where they must enter the length of time they will be away. However, function not ready and the app gives an error when trying to activate it.

It’s impossible to predict how “Vacation Mode” will work, but it’s likely that Google will follow a similar proposal to similar SmartThings features from Samsung or Philips Hue. In that case, when it’s activated, Google Home will randomly activate lights, devices, and soundsimulating the presence of humans.

The solution mainly serves to prevent criminals from noticing the absence of residents and preventing the house from becoming a target for burglary.

However, since the car is still in development, details about it are sketchy. The idea may still undergo revisions or adjustments before its final release.

Since it is a tool under development, No estimates for public release. Currently, this function is hidden in Google Home version 3.23.1.3.
