67% of Russians did not feel any restrictions or problems when choosing clothes due to the departure of famous foreign brands. More than half switched to brands from Russia’s partner countries. This follows from a study by the Beinopen Institute and the VK Department of Work with Communities, according to the results of which RB.RU has read.
One in seven buyers choose replicas of Western brands. Men are more likely to buy copies, 10% of buyers pay attention to the quality of the stand, another 27% of Russians choose a replica only because of the popularity of the brand.
The most popular item among fakes is sneakers. At the same time, 39% of citizens are not ready to pay more than 5 thousand rubles for a copy. Respondents are also confident that clothing and footwear from Russian brands should cost much less. For 10% of them, the popularity of a local brand is important. In the first places in terms of spontaneous knowledge are Ostin, Gloria Jeans and Tvoe.
Only 12% of Russians try to buy original products from Western brands that are not available in the Russian Federation. Of them, 35% are willing to pay between 20% and 30% more for their favorite brand.
- RB.RU has compiled a list of distinctive clothing brands in development, from local ones to those that have experience collaborating with large corporations and selling in the foreign market. These companies operate in Russia and were not founded before 2016.
