Starting December 14, all extensions marked as “Android compatible” on the Mozilla extension site will be available to download and use in this version of the application.

This is a pretty significant update, considering that users have only had access to a limited number of extensions in the last three years after Mozilla overhauled the Android version of its browser.

Now the ecosystem is reopening and hundreds of new extensions will be available without the need for developer intervention.

In honor of this announcement, Mozilla released some extensions this week to give you a taste of what’s to come.
