FAS opened another case against Alfa Bank for illegible footnotes in advertising

Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) opened a case against Alfa Bank for violation of the law on advertising. This was reported by the FAS on its Telegram channel.

The department found that footnotes containing “important information” about the terms of the bank’s offer were communicated in a manner “difficult to understand over a short period of time.”

This is the third FAS case against Alfa Bank in a month. They all concern violations of the law on advertising and difficult-to-read footnotes to credit conditions and other offers. The first was released on November 1st and the second on November 9th.
