Germany closed two other consulates general in Russia, in Novosibirsk and Yekaterinburg. On Thursday the consulate in Kaliningrad closed, only one remained open, the one in Saint Petersburg, and the embassy in Moscow also operates.
Germany’s two consulates general closed on December 1. This is stated on the website of the German mission in Russia.
At the moment only one German consulate general in Russia remains open, which is located in Saint Petersburg. The consular offices recommended that questions also be directed to the German Embassy in Moscow.
The German Consulate General in Kaliningrad was closed on Thursday, November 30.
The German consulates in St. Petersburg, Yekaterinburg, Kaliningrad and Novosibirsk have not accepted visa applications since the end of May.
