Several applications from sanctioned Russian companies have disappeared from the App Store. All of them are no longer available for download today, December 1: these are “Passengers of Russian Railways”, “Citydrive” and “Sbermarket”. The owners of the application recommended not deleting them.
The applications for purchasing train tickets Sbermarket, Citydrive and Russian Railways Passengers have disappeared from the App Store. They are currently not available for download.
The Sbermarket service is owned by Sberbank, whose application was removed from the App Store in April 2022. In addition, several copies of Sber mobile banking were removed from the store.
The Citydrive service previously belonged to a joint venture between Sberbank and VK. Following the division of assets, the full list of founders is unknown.
“RZD Passengers” belongs to Russian Railways. The company advised those who already have the application not to delete it, as “it will not be possible to install a new one.”
