Diana Selehina, an expert at the Solar AURA Center for Monitoring External Digital Threats of the Solar Group of Companies, reported that the airline ticket sales industry is open to the active use of social networks and instant messaging programs by fraudsters. They create fake accounts and bots designed to draw attention to fake offers and mislead buyers about ticket discounts.

Similar cases of fake offers and fake sources are also seen in the hotel reservation industry. The expert points out the increase in the number of fake websites and pages on social networks that imitate well-known travel brands.
