Cubic Telecom is a company that partners with 90 operators worldwide and provides the connection and integration of software and hardware that allows electric vehicles to easily connect to the internet. Today, Cubic Telecom provides stable connectivity to 17 million electric vehicles in 190 countries and regions. This is only 7% to 10% of the current market, according to Cubic Telecom Chief Operating Officer Shane Sorohan.

The startup’s management will join SoftBank’s board of directors, and the company’s existing investors, including CARIAD (Volkswagen Group) and Qualcomm, will have seats there. These decisions make Cubic Telecom a global subsidiary of SoftBank.
