Fitness preferences and goals may vary from person to person. However, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans recommend at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity exercise or 75 minutes of vigorous-intensity exercise per week. This is equivalent to 30 minutes of physical activity 5 days a week.

When it comes to cardio (running, walking, cycling, rowing), it’s generally recommended to exercise for 30 to 60 minutes. And these should be moderate-intensity activities. However, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) sessions can be effective for shorter periods of activity lasting 15 to 30 minutes. Strength training can last from 45 minutes to an hour.

It is difficult to find the “golden mean” in education. Because this will be different for everyone. And training more isn’t always healthier, as you may end up overtraining.
