Rosreestr included the Association of Bloggers and Agencies (ABA) in the list of self-regulatory organizations (SRO), Kommersant learned. Thanks to this, the organization will be able to participate in the discussion of legislative initiatives and establish some standards in the industry. Media market sources point out that the emergence of such a structure will allow the State to allocate funds directly through government contracts to support “loyal bloggers.”

Rosreestr included the Association of Bloggers and Agencies in the list of self-regulatory organizations

The association includes 46 agencies and 50 thousand bloggers. One of the first projects of its members will be the introduction of OKVED (All-Russian Classifier of Types of Economic Activities). The debate on this initiative in the State Duma is scheduled for December 11.

Members of the organization note that membership will help them work more effectively with government orders and have direct and informal government support. Sector representatives who are not included in the Association of Bloggers and Agencies consider that the structure makes no sense and is purely lobbying.

Benefits provided by association status:

  • the opportunity to participate in antitrust proceedings against bloggers;
  • the opportunity to appeal regulatory legal acts of government bodies in arbitration courts;
  • the opportunity to set standards in influencer marketing.

Currently, the ABA is working on the identification of a classifier together with Yana Lantratova, a deputy from the “A Just Russia – For the Truth” faction.

According to Evgenia Kazakova, COO of Perfluence, the new organization will be able to develop universal standards and rules for this market, “for which all its participants have been fighting for a long time.”

Kazakova notes that we are talking about “clear ways to measure the effectiveness and level of service provided by bloggers, agencies and production centers.”

As a Kommersant source in the media market points out, the Russian state has long worked with a registry of “loyal bloggers” who help popularize certain initiatives.

“The measure will allow the direct allocation of money through government contracts and the call for bids to support said entities,” summarizes the publication’s interlocutor.
