Previously, the ART-XC telescope had temporarily suspended surveying the entire sky due to a revision of the scientific program of the Spektr-RG observatory. This happened after the German eROSITA telescope went into sleep mode in February 2022.
The creation of a new observation program made it possible to use the capabilities of the ART-XC telescope in the most efficient way. The observatory conducted point-by-point studies for a year and a half and also completed a comprehensive survey of the Milky Way galaxy.
