PNRPU scientists have created a unique robot to check the condition of oil and gas pipelines. Current models may not always be able to control all parts of the pipe, which can lead to accidents and damage. The new robot is equipped with powerful drive wheels that allow it to move between pipes at different angles.

As part of a study published in the journal Construction and Road Machinery, the robot is stated to be a significant achievement in the world of mechatronics and robotics. This device can prevent damage and leaks by closely monitoring the condition of pipes in hard-to-reach areas.

One of the most important features of the new robot is its wheel drive system, which provides maneuverability even in the most difficult sections of the pipeline. The developers paid special attention to the temperature regime of the robot, ensuring optimal operation under high loads and low power consumption. The robot has already been used successfully in the enterprise and is being prepared for mass production.
