The Playground presents 25 “most popular” statistics, selected from different periods of Google Trends history:

- Statistics confirmed as “global” do not include the following countries: China, Iran and North Korea.
The “most wanted” designation means that a person, movement, topic, landmark or moment has been found. more than any other in a certain category since Google Trends data first became available worldwide in 2004.
How Google’s most popular search engine is calculated
- When there is a definitive list for a category that is most searched forsubject with the highest overall search interest across all topics on the list.
- Example: “The 100 Greatest Rock Bands of All Time” is a comprehensive list that rock band from the list with the highest global search interest in Google Trends history.
- When the “most popular” category is represented by a topicsubject with the greatest search interest (Topic + Theme) is calculated.
- Example. To find the “toy” that is most searched for, search interest is sorted by IP name + toy theme.
- When is the “most popular” category not presented as a topicsearch queries with the highest overall search interest (term + term)
- Example. To find the most popular “first step”, name interest man + “first step”“.
- All search queries are checked in English.
