Tesla recalls more than 2 million electric vehicles due to problems with Autosteer Autopilot

The US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced the recall of 2.031 million Tesla electric vehicles. This is stated in the department’s message.

The recall includes 2012-2023 S, 2016-2023 X, 2020-2023 Y, 2017-2023 3 models equipped with the Autosteer autopilot system. The cars are being recalled due to an increased risk of accident when using autopilot.

Previously, The Washington Post published an article talking about at least eight accidents involving Tesla, including fatal accidents.

In December, Tesla announced a software update for its electric vehicles. Cars will automatically call 911 if the airbags deploy in an accident.
