Intel has introduced Core Ultra processors for laptops belonging to the Meteor Lake family.
The lineup includes Core Ultra 5, Core Ultra 7 and Core Ultra 9 chips of various modifications. The company abandoned the use of Core i in the name.
All new chips are made using a 7nm process technology and are equipped with a neural coprocessor, which is responsible for the operation of artificial intelligence. It frees up the CPU and graphics while consuming little power.
Also, all processors are equipped with integrated graphics. The weakest chips have Intel Graphics, and the most powerful ones have Intel Arc from the division that produces video cards.
Chips with Intel Arc are much more powerful in games. For example, Resident Evil Village with a Core Ultra 7 165H processor runs 95% faster than with a Core i7 1370P chip.
Most of the new processors are already available to manufacturers. Lenovo, MSI, Acer and Asus simultaneously with Intel presented their laptops based on new chips.
The flagship Intel Core Ultra 9 185H processor will appear only in the first quarter of 2024. It has 16 cores that operate at up to 5.1 GHz. [The Verge]
