On devices with Android TV, the “Store” tab now has a central place to buy or rent content (you can watch existing content here). If you have cable TV or an Android TV set-top box, the YouTube app will become your “cinema” for the same day, as purchased content will be accessible there.
The move follows Google’s strategic move away from a dedicated app by offering a “seamless” experience for some users. It is noteworthy that users retain access to purchased content, which eliminates concerns about the loss of paid programs and movies.
