The amendments were introduced to the lower house of parliament in 2019 and had first reading in 2020. The changes have now been accepted.

The authors of the amendments believe that such a decision will help provide timely medical care even if the patient is not aware of his condition. In this case, the person will be able to refuse medical care, but only in writing, which will ensure the legal protection of doctors.

In addition, until now, there was a practice of doctors intervening without the patient’s consent, but only under the condition of a council meeting. And here a vicious circle arose: it is impossible to collect consultations outside a medical institution.

News materials cannot be equated with a doctor’s prescription. Consult an expert before making a decision.
