Car dealers Avilon and Klyuchavto have started importing new cars via parallel imports to Russia for resale to other car dealers, Vedomosti reported.
Avilon enters into a cooperation agreement with car dealers and accepts import orders for certain models. After that, you buy them and transfer them to companies.
The company buys Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Toyota, Volvo, Volkswagen, Kia and others and not just premium brands for other sellers. 100 to 1000 cars are ordered from the company, mostly from China.
Klyuchavto also began to import cars through parallel imports. They now have about 4,000 cars imported this way for themselves and other dealers.
The company is engaged in auto logistics and delivery, and also provides partners with marketing tools to promote models. However, as Klyuchavto noted, they do not affect the retail price.
Parallel imports on such a scale are a complex and expensive process, Avtospetstsentr noted. However, this business model is beneficial for all market participants.
