Large and medium-sized companies in Russia have identified areas where they urgently need to replace imported products. These areas include the production of medical equipment, computers, electronics, oil and gas equipment, and auto parts. Representatives from more than 200 companies participated in the research conducted by the Management Association.
The results of the survey show that 60% of respondents think it is important to replace imports in the field of medical equipment, 52% highlight electronics and computers, and 34% see the need for import substitution in mechanical engineering, including oil and petroleum equipment. gas industry. Additionally, 28% stated that it is important to produce automobiles and spare parts in the domestic market.
Some respondents also emphasized that the food industry (22%), agriculture (18%) and construction materials production (18%) need import substitution. However, textiles, chemicals, shipbuilding and marine equipment are considered less critical.
According to the research, 38 percent of companies do not participate in import substitution, 36 percent act as suppliers and 26 percent act as consumers. Among the main problems hindering import substitution, companies cite the search for high-quality alternatives (65%), large financial investments (58%) and the search for new suppliers (36%).
