The five large markets will create the Digital Platforms Association. Its participants (Wildberries, Ozon, Yandex, Avito and SberMarket) will deal in particular with the development of the platform economy. Registration of the association is expected before the end of the year.
Five leading Russian markets will create an Association of Digital Platforms. RBC writes about this with reference to the company’s representatives. The “big five” markets include Wildberries, Ozon, Yandex, Avito and SberMarket.
Members of the association will participate in the development of digital and platform economies, as well as issues of employment regulation and platform taxes.
Regulatory documents for registration of the association have already been submitted to the Ministry of Justice. The registration process is expected to be completed by the end of the year. The head of the national ESG alliance, Andrei Sharonov, could become president of the association and Yuri Bogdanov could become its immediate director.
Previously, Wildberries founder Tatyana Bakalchuk spoke about the company’s prospects for an IPO. The company does not plan to go public, as operating Wildberries as a private company is more beneficial to the platform’s customers, Bakalchuk said.
