A New York Times profile has shed more concrete light on what has been an open secret: Apple’s former star designer, Jony Iveworked closely with Sam Altman to create a device for OpenAI.
According to the report Time This project could attract $1 billion in funding.
“There are only 10 employees on the project right now, but they include Tan Tan and Evans Hankey, two key people who worked with Ive on the iPhone. “The development of the device is being led by a company called LoveFrom,” the report says. Elsewhere, the team is currently working on a 32,000-square-foot office building in San Francisco, part of a $90 million property Ive purchased on a city block.
What is Jony Ive’s OpenAI device all about?
What is written in the profile Timeclaims that “generative AI has enabled the creation of a new computing device because the technology can do more for users than traditional software,” thanks to its ability to process complex queries. Last year, it was rumored to be inspired by touchscreen technology and the original iPhone.
