The head of the National Payment Card System, Vladimir Komlev, will leave his post. He has led the NSPK since its founding in 2014. Under Komlev’s leadership, the Mir payments system was launched in Russia.
Vladimir Komlev will step down as General Director of the National Payment Card System. This is stated in the NSPK message.
Komlev has led the NSPK since its founding in 2014. Under Komlev’s leadership, the NSPK in Russia launched the Mir payment system. NSPK is the operator of Mir. Together with the Bank of Russia, NSPK launched the Faster Payment System (FPS).
NSPK is 100% owned by the Bank of Russia. The regulator thanked Komlev for his participation in the development of the national payments infrastructure.
Before joining NSPK, Komlev headed the processing company United Card Services, where he worked since 1995. In September 2022, Komlev was subject to US sanctions.
