In Russia, a neural network has been developed to determine the owners of Telegram channels

The process is based on collecting information about the administrators from the description of the channel, its archived copies, publications, as well as obtaining metadata from the published files.

The software can find the necessary information in message captions, integrated chat, sticker packs, documents and videos uploaded to the community.

The neural network analyzes data leaks, compares them to the user’s name or photo, but does so much faster and better than a human, the developers noted.

The company plans to launch a complete solution by 2025. It is designed for public or private companies involved in cybercrime investigations.

  • The Ministry of Digital Development will allocate approximately 25.2 billion rubles for the development of state cybersecurity systems “Multiscanner”, “Anti-Phishing”, “Antifraud” and others until 2030. The department hopes that this will help replace the foreign solutions and increase the efficiency of existing systems.
