As part of its self-repair program, Apple launched Apple Diagnostics, a self-repair service.
It performs a self-service check for iPhone problems starting with the iPhone 12. This iPhone must be running iOS 17 or later for the system to work. A connection to a public Wi-Fi network is required; cellular data does not work in diagnostic mode.
A second device will be required to perform diagnostics. This could be a Mac, iPad or iPhone. They must have iOS 13, iPadOS 13, macOS Catalina 10.15 or later software installed.
It is also possible to use a Windows PC. Sometimes you need to use Chrome 55 or later, Firefox 59 or later, or Microsoft Edge 12 or later.
The service is not available in Russia. Apparently it only works in countries where a do-it-yourself repair program is available. For example, in the USA and Great Britain.
