The iPhone 17 Pro Max will receive a 48 MP telephoto camera, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reported.
This makes the iPhone 17 Pro Max the first iPhone to feature 48MP cameras on all three devices. The 48MP main camera was introduced in the iPhone 14 Pro, while the 48MP ultra-wide module debuted in the iPhone 16 Pro.
Kuo said he doesn’t know if the iPhone 17 Pro will get the same telephoto lens as the 17 Pro Max. If not, the camera will be exclusive to the iPhone 17 Pro Max and then appear on the iPhone 18 Pro.
