The Arnest group, which bought the Oriflame plant in Russia in early 2023, plans to launch contract manufacturing for Russian cosmetics brands there. In two years, the share of orders from Russian manufacturers increased from 30% to 70%. This was told to RBC by the director of the company, Alexey Sagal.
Since 2011, Arnest has been producing aerosol and cosmetic products for Oriflame under contract. In spring 2022, Oriflame suspended exports of Russian-made products and marketing investments in the country. A year later, the company sold 100% of the Russian business to Arnest for €28 million.
In autumn 2023, the former Russian subsidiary of Oriflame was renamed Arnest Cosmetics. The agreement included only the production and logistics complex in the Noginsk region.
Arnest intends to maximize utilization of the plant purchased from Oriflame, even at the expense of other local manufacturers’ brands.
