Dutch consumer advocates have sued Samsung for raising TV prices. In 2013-2018, the company forced retailers not to lower prices for TVs below the established minimum, writes SamMobile.
For this reason, the company was fined two years ago with more than 39 million euros and now two other consumer rights organizations intend to claim compensation for the victims in court.
The plaintiffs believe the company’s actions resulted in television buyers overpaying by approximately 100 euros per device. This applies not only to Samsung products, but also to electronic products from other brands.
Apparently, other brands also followed Samsung’s strategy and inflated the prices of their televisions.
