Starting in January 2024, Rostelecom will increase home Internet prices by 5% to 6%. Its subscribers already receive notifications about changes in tariff plans, Vedomosti learned.
On average, the increase will be less than the inflation rate and will amount to 5%, about 30 rubles per month. At the same time, prices for most subscribers will remain unchanged.
Among the reasons for the increase are the increasing volumes of traffic consumed, which makes it impossible to ensure high quality and constant reliability of services, maintain the functionality of the infrastructure and develop it.
Rostelecom did not inform the FAS about the upcoming tariff increase, a representative of the service said. However, the obligation to provide such information is not provided for by law.
