President Vladimir Putin transferred the assets of the largest car dealership, Rolf, to the Federal Property Management Agency. The decree is published on the official publication portal of legal acts.
The shares of Rolf Motors and Rolf Estate St. Petersburg, owned by JSC Rolf (99%) and the Cypriot Delance Limited (1%), as well as Rolf Tech (100% owned by JSC Rolf), are transferred to the agency.
The company’s founder, Sergei Petrov, was criminally prosecuted along with several top managers of the company in 2019. They are suspected of having illegally withdrawn almost 4 billion rubles from abroad.
On November 27, 2021, the court blocked the accounts of the Rolf car dealership as part of an investigation into the withdrawal of funds abroad. Three days later, the Prosecutor General’s Office filed a lawsuit with the Khimki court in the Moscow region to recover 12.85 billion rubles from car dealer Rolf and Sergei Petrov. In September 2023, the Cheryomushkinsky Court in Moscow found Anatoly Kairo, a former member of the board of directors of the Rolf car dealership holding, guilty of withdrawing almost 4 billion rubles from abroad and sentenced him to 8.5 years in a general regime colony.
In April 2022, the agreement to purchase 100% of the Rolf car dealership by the Klyuchavto group of companies was suspended. The reason for the suspension was a special operation in Ukraine.
