Veronika Pugacheva, head of the psychological service of KSPU, emphasized that parents should control the time their children spend with gadgets to prevent possible addiction. He advises parents to teach their young children how to use devices properly from an early age.
According to the psychologist, “information hygiene” is important, which the child should perceive as the norm and not as punishment. Children aged one to three years are recommended to spend no more than 30-40 minutes a day on gadgets, divided into two periods. For children three to five years old – up to one hour per day, and for children six to 12 years old – two to three hours. It is also important to fill their free time with active activities other than gadget use, for example, enrolling them in a course of their choice.
