The basic process of passengers boarding the train using tickets has long been optimized and, according to representatives of Russian Railways, in 99% of cases, passengers do not even need to print a ticket. However, studies are actively continuing on the possibility of introducing a two-dimensional QR code for boarding the plane from the State Services application.
Representatives of Russian Railways emphasized that this innovation will be strictly optional for passengers and there are no plans to switch to mandatory biometric boarding in the near future.
