The average cost of a Russian New Year’s table consisting of Olivier and Herring salads under a fur coat, chicken, duck, tangerines, champagne and red caviar will be 3,329 rubles. This is stated in a study by the IT company Atol (which is engaged in the automation of retail trade, e-commerce and others), reviewed by RB.RU.

Analysts have calculated the cost of the New Year’s table for Russians in 2023.

The current cost of the New Year’s table exceeds last year’s by 14%.

“Olivier” will cost Russians an average of 942 rubles, 10% more than in 2022. The average price of ingredients for “Herring under a fur coat” is 774 rubles, 11% more than the previous year.

For 1 kg of chicken or duck meat, Russians will pay 202 rubles and 463 rubles, respectively. Tangerines of this weight category will cost 211 rubles, 17% more than the price for November-December 2022.

A jar of red caviar will cost an average of 736 rubles. You will have to spend an average of 302 rubles on champagne.

The study was conducted using anonymous sales data from Atol Sigma from November to December 2022-2023.
