The Daily Mail reports that a robot attacked an engineer at the Tesla Gigafactory in Texas. The incident occurred 2 years ago, the company decided to hide it, but now the details of what happened have been discovered.

As noted in the publication, the engineer designed two disabled robots nearby, and at that time he was captured by an assembly robot and pressed against the wall. The device stabbed the worker’s back and hand with metal parts designed to move the car’s cast aluminum parts.

After that, the robot smeared blood throughout the plant. Witnesses say the employee suffered an open wound.

Tesla representative in Texas, attorney Hannah Alexander, said one in 21 workers were injured at the factory last year. And every 26th – a serious injury. [Daily Mail]
