Apple has received a temporary break from its ban on the sale of Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2.

A federal appeals court ordered a stay of the import and sale ban today. The company asked for such support measures until US Customs can determine whether the changes it is making to the Apple Watch will be enough to resolve the patent dispute with Masimo. Customs is expected to make its decision on January 12.

The Court of Appeal also allows for a longer suspension of the import and sale ban. Apple requested this ruling until the appellate court could make a full ruling on the patent infringement case. [The Verge]
