Dell releases a Microsoft Copilot concept that can fix Windows 11 problems for you. In a demonstration, the computer maker explained how a virtual assistant powered by artificial intelligence (AI) can identify and fix computer errors.

In the GIF shared by the company, Windows Copilot can determine what the user is trying to do and suggest alternatives such as changing system settings to solve the problem. In the case shown, the person tries to connect to a public Wi-Fi network, the assistant notices the action and offers to adjust security options.

Also, being aware that the user is in a public environment, AI can also recommend changing power settings to optimize autonomy rather than performance.

Dell’s demonstration even shows the user requesting adjustments directly by voice, just like it’s done with Cortana. Artificial intelligence will identify the order and open exactly the desired option.

Just an idea

But Dell’s demonstration is just a concept. The GIFs represent how an AI like Copilot could help solve everyday problems and perhaps provide inspiration for future features of the Microsoft system.

If the system developer likes the idea, it is possible that functions similar to Dell’s concept will also be included in the so-called Windows 12. The new operating system should focus on functions powered by artificial intelligence, leveraging the Microsoft ecosystem.

For now, there’s no concrete date for Windows 12’s release or confirmation that the system will actually launch. Rumors suggest that Microsoft should introduce the new platform in June 2024, but the update may not be free for old users.
