Intel and partners are unlocking IP to develop a complete immersion cooling solution and reference design, an industry first. This open approach encourages “collaboration and broader adoption,” the media writes.

Intel, in collaboration with the Taiwan Industrial Research Institute, is creating a dedicated laboratory to certify high-performance cooling technologies according to international standards. These cooling technologies, including the Intel 1500W+ superfluidic system, enable increased performance in congested data centers critical to the exponential growth of AI.

Intel sees Taiwan as a major player in developing cooling solutions for domestic and global data centers.

Intel’s aggressive push for open, collaborative immersion cooling solutions and its focus on Taiwanese talent and resources points to serious play in the AI data center space. Whether this will result in market dominance remains to be seen.
