In 2023, Muscovites donated more than 54 million rubles to charities through a special service on the portal of the capital’s mayor. This figure exceeds the 2022 level by 70%.
This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin on his personal blog. The mos.ru portal service was launched in 2020 and 87 charities are currently connected to it.
Over three years, more than 80,000 Moscow residents donated more than 100 million rubles through the platform. Moreover, by the end of 2023, more than half of this amount was collected – 54 million rubles.
Sobyanin said the funds raised went to “good works”: paying for medical research and medicine for seriously ill people, helping older children and people in trouble, buying food and finding owners for homeless animals, as well as “supporting other people needy.” .”
