Gmail to introduce new bulk email requirements starting in February

Starting in February, the email service Gmail will tighten its rules for sending mass emails. This was reported by Resend.

One of the main innovations will be the mandatory addition of an unsubscribe button next to the sender address. The user should be able to unsubscribe with a single click.

Gmail will also begin requiring email users to set up DMARC (domain name matching, reporting, and message identification) and will keep complaint rates below 0.3%.

Starting December 1, 2023, Google will delete accounts that have had no activity for two or more years. Along with the account, the content of the email and all content of the service are deleted.
