Sony’s headset could be a potential rival to Apple Vision Pro. Sony’s product doesn’t have a name yet, but it is known to be a tool for interacting with 3D models, interfaces, and other content that requires specialized equipment to play and edit.
The XR helmet has two controllers. One is a standardized remote control for common virtual reality (VR) headsets. The second is a ring that you can wear on your finger.
Helmet displays cover 96% of the DCI-P3 color gamut. The headset is powered by a custom Snapdragon XR2+ Gen 2 chip from Qualcomm.
