The Ministry of Digital Development published a draft resolution on the possibility of including a mechanism for including sites in the register of information dissemination organizers (ORI).
According to it, Roskomnadzor will be able to add sites to the ARI register if they have a messaging function and if the owner did not accidentally comply with the requirement to enter the list voluntarily.
Entry into the register obliges to store user messages and information about them in Russia for six months, provide them to law enforcement agencies and install equipment to provide the FSB with remote access to information about users and their actions. For failure to comply with the requirements, a fine of up to 6 million rubles was imposed, and for refusal of a specialist – 100 thousand. rubles
