S7 Airlines will reduce its staff in Moscow by 13-15%. The decision is explained by the change in the route network and the reduction of flights from the capital, RIA Novosti writes.

S7 Airlines will reduce its staff in Moscow by up to 15%

Aeroflot and Pobeda are ready to hire laid-off S7 flight attendants. Vedomosti was informed of this by the company’s press service.

In October 2023, S7 Airlines decided to reduce the number of flights by 10% to 15% compared to 2022 due to difficulties “with the planned maintenance of the Airbus A320/A321neo aircraft.”

In December, the company announced that it would reduce the flight schedule in several directions due to seasonal redistribution of aircraft and optimization of schedules.

  • In June 2022, S7 Group froze the Citrus low-cost airline project. At the end of March it was learned that the launch of Citrus had been postponed indefinitely. The reason is the same as for freezing the project now: problems with the supply of the Airbus A320neo aircraft in which the company was to fly.
