In development since 2016, the X-59 promises to revolutionize supersonic flight. Its design, which includes a long needle-like nose that covers one-third of the fuselage, is designed to minimize shock waves and noise during supersonic flight. The aircraft has impressive characteristics: a fuselage length of 29 meters and a wingspan of 9 meters, it is equipped with a powerful General Electric F414 engine, which allows it to reach a speed of Mach 1.5 at an altitude of 16,800 meters.

An advanced video system with cameras is used to increase visibility in the cockpit due to the long nose of the aircraft, which provides its unique aerodynamic properties.

A series of ground tests and the first flight are planned for this year.
