LG has already started assembling 11 kW home chargers and plans to start production of 175 kW fast chargers in the first half of 2024. The company also plans to begin production of 350 kW ultra-fast chargers for commercial travel and long-distance transportation.

The company explains that the reason why it chose Texas for the location of the facility is that there are existing production facilities here and the state’s excellent logistics infrastructure, which also includes factories of major automobile manufacturers such as GM, Toyota and Tesla.
