Musk made the statement after posting a video in which the robot Optimus appeared to fold clothes without assistance.
He admitted that although seemingly autonomous, the robot is not yet able to perform such tasks on its own. “An important statement: Optimus cannot yet fold shirts on his own, but in the future he will be able to do this completely autonomously in any environment,” Musk said.
Musk has previously shown other videos of the robot doing yoga exercises, doing squats, and collecting eggs.
He claimed that the robot would use an artificial intelligence system similar to that used in the autopilot of Tesla cars.
