For 60% of Russian employers, the main advantage of young employees (18-25 years old) was mental flexibility and creativity. This follows from the investigation of the services Rabota.ru and SberPodbor; RB.RU learned the results.

Employers tell us why they value young employees

Another 41% respect these workers for their knowledge of the latest trends in the workplace. The quick adaptation of a young specialist, as well as energy and determination, are valued by 38% of those surveyed.

35% of companies pay more attention to applicants’ desire to learn and acquire new knowledge. Almost a third of respondents said that young employees are characterized by optimism and a calm attitude in the face of difficulties.

Another 30% of employers cited the desire for personal development and growth among the advantages of such specialists, 25% – friendliness and quick acquaintance with teams, 23% – loyalty to the first job, 17% – provision for overwork and additional workload.

At the same time, 13% of employers noted the willingness of such applicants to work for a small salary, 11% – emotional intelligence, and 1% of respondents indicated other reasons. 10% of business representatives stated that they do not see the advantages of young candidates over more senior employees.

More than 350 representatives of Russian companies from all regions of the country took part in the survey. The study was carried out in December 2023.
