Samsung’s artificial intelligence (AI) tools The company states that it will be free until the end of 2025. The information is included in a footnote on the Galaxy S24 pages.

“Galaxy AI features will be available free of charge on compatible Samsung Galaxy devices until the end of 2025,” the company announced. “Different terms may apply to AI resources provided by third parties,” he added.

Samsung’s AI tools include: simultaneous interpretation on calls, text translation, typing assistant, transcription and voice recording, and Google’s “Search Circular.” Additionally, converting video to slow motion using generative editor and AI is also available.

note Does not disclose which features will have limited availabilityor how much the subscription will cost after this period. The restriction likely applies to tools that rely solely on cloud processing, such as generative editing.

Consumers looking for phones focused on longevity need to keep in mind that the Galaxy S24’s AI tools won’t last forever, at least not for free. Now, Samsung did not disclose its business strategy for these services.

The limited freedom of Galaxy AI tools is not necessarily new. In November last year, informants had already stated that Samsung was considering offering the technology for a monthly fee.

And this is not an unusual practice. OpenAI and Microsoft have subscriptions for access to AI tools. Recently, the owner of Windows presented Copilot Pro, a version of the assistant that offers special features for R$ 110 per month.
