Kazakhstan’s largest airline has confirmed its plans to place securities on three exchanges at once. Listing of Air Astana securities is expected on trading platforms in Kazakhstan, Astana and London. About 25% of the company’s shares will be free float.
Air Astana has confirmed plans to conduct an initial public offering (IPO). According to the Air Astana website, the listing of the securities of Kazakhstan’s largest airline is expected on the trading platforms of Kazakhstan, Astana and London.
The company will begin accepting investor applications in late January, at which time the price range for the stock will be announced. About 25% of Air Astana shares are expected to be free float.
Kazakhstan’s national investment fund Samruk-Kazyn owns a 51% stake in Air Astana and another 49% is owned by British defense company BAE Systems.
Air Astana’s preparations for an IPO first became known in November 2023. According to preliminary data, the company could receive a valuation of one billion dollars.
